Ready for a short journey through time

Today is Inventors' Day and we are therefore looking back on one of the first, but probably the most important #invention in our company history: the first short-circuit indicators by Heinrich Horstmann from Heiligenhaus (HHH).

Horstmann can look back on a long history as an innovator in medium-voltage technology.
As early as 1948, our founder, Dipl.-Ing. Heinrich Horstmann, launched the first series product on the market - the short-circuit indicator on through-hole copper plating, which was used in marble switchboards. A short time later, the universally applicable mechanical short-circuit indicator (rotor) was invented and produced. This was subsequently used extensively by many municipal utilities and suppliers, initially in Germany and later worldwide.

The extremely simple but reliable and maintenance-free devices were designed for installation in switching and local network stations, where they are still used today to pinpoint fault locations.

These highly beneficial inventions revolutionized #fault location in the power grid and laid the foundation for our commitment. To this day, we continue to develop innovative products for our customers with the aim of quickly rectifying or completely preventing grid faults.

Today we say #Thankyou.
Thank you to the inventor who made our brand what it is!
