Can you introduce yourself in 2-3 sentences?
 "I am Erwin, a father of five children and 32 years old. I completed my Ph.D. at the TU Dortmund University in co-operation with Horstmann. Since then, I have been responsible for product and innovation management."

What are your typical tasks in Production planning?
"As I am the link between development, marketing, sales and management, I have a very varied job. My tasks range from market observation, initiating new products, development support, market launch planning, sales support and product training through to strategic decisions with the management."

What are the challenges in your job?
"The central challenge is to decide which products can fulfil future market requirements. Continuous customer contact and scientific exhchange are key to developing innovative solutions with high market potential."

What has been your personal highlight at Horstmann so far?
"Earth fault tests during ongoing grid operation at a customer's site. Our earth fault and short-circuit indicators were able to correctly detect the momentary and stationary faults even in critical situations. It is always a special highlight to see arcing events live." 

What do you like best about Horstmann?
"The working atmosphere, short decision-making processes and the dialogue with my colleagues. When you get to work on exciting future topics with such a committed team, you really enjoy going to work in the morning."
