Wega variant for low-voltage applications
Is voltage present or absent? This question is fundamental and a precise answer is vital when service or maintenance personnel are working on switchgear and cables. This also applies to switchgear where the rated voltages are below 1,000 V.
Wega 1 LV integrated voltage detecting system for low-voltage applications
There are many 400 V or 690 V switchgear systems in industry where there is a need to take advantage of an integrated voltage testing system. Particularly in switchgear with a large number of switch panels, it is essential from a personal safety point of view that the user recognizes whether they are opening the correct disconnected switchgear door before opening the switchgear door.
The Wega 1 LV variant newly developed by Horstmann enables voltage detection based on IEC 62271-213. The proven safety concepts from medium and high voltage are now possible for low voltage applications.
Advantages of Wega 1 LV
- Fully encapsulated electronics – High operational reliability under all environmental conditions
- Integrated maintenance test – Maintenance-free
- Developed according to IEC 62271-213 – Proven safety concepts from high voltage to low voltage applications
- -40 °C to +75 °C – Extended temperature range for different applications
- Tool-free installation – Saves installation time
- High display contrast – Excellent readability
