FAQs about Sigma DM
Everything you need to know about Sigma DM
And here are the questions and the corresponding answers about the Sigma Dм.
Question 1: What advantage does Sigma Dм offer over the well-known Sigma D/+/++ series?
Sigma Dм does not have relay contacts for remote signaling, but a communication interface with Modbus RTU.
Question 2: Is it possible to monitor a local substation with Sigma Dм?
Yes, Sigma Dм is suitable for all star point types in the medium-voltage grid. In addition, measured values such as I, V, P and Q can also be queried.
Question 3: Does Sigma Dм require an auxiliary voltage?
The fault direction functions are supplied via the current sensors. A wide-range power supply unit is available for RS485/Modbus RTU communication: 24-230V AC and DC.
Question 4: Does Sigma Dм require a voltage signal?
Yes, a voltage signal is required for the error direction display. The signal is provided via the Wega voltagev detection system.
